Dr Hauschka Limited Edition Collection - Spring 2013

I recently received these goodies in the post.

I am a big fan of Dr Hauschka Skincare but haven't really tried the make up yet.

In the collection there is:

A gorgeous Eyeshadow trio, the colours are Beige, Rose Pink and Chocolate.

A black eyeliner with a smudging applicator.

A Volume Mascara in Black (with new brush)

And finally, two a defining and blending brush.

So, my thoughts....

I think the colours in the eyeshadow palette are gorgeous, you can use these for both day and night looks. Oddly they smell amazing, I'm presuming this is the extracts of anthyllis and black tea. there is even a small picture behind the information label at the bottom to tell you where to put each colour to create a gorgeous look (I am yet to try this).
The two lighter colours are shimmery and well pigmented, the chocolate colour has a matte finish but unfortunately isn't very pigmented.
The one thing I do really like is the shadows are extremely soft :)

The eyeliner is gorgeous. Its lovely and soft and the applicator helps to blend it really well to soften that line, this will be really lovely to use when you are trying to create a smokey eye.

Now, the mascara I haven't tried yet as I can be very fussy and I had just opened one when this came through! I love the look of the brush, its big but not too over sized that you can't use it! Although I will say I do not like the smell at all, there are a few different scents in there but I can't put my finger on exactly what I don't like, I think its just because its strong!! I shall try it tomorrow and get back to you!!

Now the brushes, they are pretty to look at but I'm not a huge fan, they don't apply the shadows very well and are quite tough. I will keep on using them to see if maybe they soften

So, these are my thoughts on the Spring 2013 collection. Have you tried it yet?

Stay Beautiful

  1. The shades a very subtle and I tend to go for brighter, darker colors. But it does look like a lovely palette nonetheless!
