Essie Sleek Stick Collection 2013

SLEEK STICK NAIL STICKERS

When these first arrived at my door I couldn't wait to try them out! I have tried one set of nail stickers before, it was a complete no go. They were very cheap, not that I'm a brand snob or anything, but it does go to show that generally them more you pay, the better quality you get.

The first ones I tried were the Love to Love You. They instantly caught my eye, as you don't see many nail designs like this...

As you can see they come on a sheet. You simply pick the size closet to your nail and apply them.

They are super sticky, so make sure you are gentle and don't rush otherwise they may bubble.

You are then left with them looking this .

What I then did, is gently fold the bottom over the edge of my nail...

So now you take a nail file and gently file one way, as you would when filing your natural nail. If you find this isn't so easy, gently file downwards, this should also cut the sticker.

You are then left with this gorgeous design. I didn't at the time, but apply a top coat just to help them stay that little bit longer!

I thought they would peel off pretty much straight away. I didn't use a top coat as I wanted to see exactly how long they would last without one. I have to say I was very impressed! They lasted for around four days, that was even with me bathing my little monkey and doing some work out in the garden. I just honestly couldn't believe it.

The night i was putting them on I was talking to my husband saying, I guess they are a good idea for a night out etc but I just don't see the point, for the money you should just buy a bottle of polish.... DON'T listen to that! They are awesome.

I love the different designs you can get and how easy they are to put on.

I have many friends who tell me they aren't very good at putting polish on, or they are just too impatient to let it dry... these are something you should consider if you are one of those people.

The designs that Essie have made available are:

12 Oh my Gold!

03 So Haute!

Croc'N Chic

A to Zebra

Stickers and Stones

and obviously the one I tried which was Love To Love You.

I forgot to mention, a small nail file is supplied with these.

The only one which doesn't really tickle my fancy is so haute! but I shall try it as it could look amazing on.

These are all available in Switzerland now. I'm not sure of other countries as I get the press release here.

You can pick them up for 20CHF

What do you think of nail stickers? Will you be trying these?

Stay Beautiful

They sure look pretty! And thanks for explaining to us step by step how you apply them! I would have never thought to use a nail file to ''cut'' the egde, lol :-) But of course!
