Nearly Naked!

REVLON NEARLY NAKED FOUNDATION & PRESSED POWDER

I was a little late jumping on this band waggon! I have had this foundation & pressed powder for almost two months now, I hadn't written a review before now as I wasn't sure how I felt about it, to be honest I'm still not really any closer to knowing now!

Where shall I start.....

   Foundation

I like the packaging as far as the Glass bottle and simple design goes, but I don't like the fact that there is no pump dispenser on it, these kinds of bottles drive me insane, the formula is also quite watery so I always end up pouring far too much out, regardless of how careful I am. In turn this means I end up wasting lots which is irritating!
I generally like a good coverage in my foundation, which means this isn't one I would use on a daily basis as I find the coverage to be light, you could possibly stretch to medium if you try to build it.
Because of the watery formula I can only use certain brushes or my fingers to apply it, otherwise it just gets moved across my face and I spend a while having to try to buff it in. There isn't really a scent to it, which to be honest is neither here nor there with me! They do however, have a good colour range. You can go on the website and find a good match for your skin by answering a few questions ie What is your skin tone etc.

Don't get me wrong, its not a bad foundation, it's just not necessarily one I would go back to purchase. If you like a light coverage then try it as you may love it. I would suggest trying to apply it using your fingers and definitely allow time for your moisturiser to soak into your skin.

Pressed Powder

This is a nice compact and quite large. It comes with  small mirror and a small puff applicator. They have again a good amount of different shades to suit all skin types. It applies well and Revlon say it's buildable. I put it on this morning with the foundation and the two do work well together but I prefer a dewy finish to my make up so pressed powder isn't something I would generally use, but as far as powders go it's pretty nice.

Overall Summery

I found the products were quite nice to use (applying foundation with fingers), but just not what I am looking for. Like I said before, if you like a light coverage this will be for you. I believe they are quite reasonably priced.

Have you tried this foundation or pressed powder? I would love to hear your thoughts

Yeah, I am pretty sure they're not for me. First of all I think it should have a pump, plus I need more than light coverage.

P.S.: You can win the newest Covergirl mascara on my blog, come check it out :-D

  2. Try something like a beautyblender to apply made a world of difference for me with nearly naked compared to a brush. X
