Girly Manicure!

MY ULTIMATE GIRLY MANICURE

I thought I would make some time this morning to do a little something different with my nails. All the items, accept the top coat, I have had laying around the house for a long time and thought it was time to put them to use!

Here is what I used...

1. This is actually a dotting stick from Essence that I picked up in my local Coop I believe!

2. Bourjois, So Laque polish in the shade 01 Oh So Rose.

3. This small nail art kit I bought in my local beauty suppliers, by Peggy Sage

4. Essie's Super Duper Top Coat

The whole look was really easy to achieve, I simply started by layering on the polish, it took four or so coats (lots of drying time) as the colour is so translucent. I know for this reason alone lots of people wouldn't have used it, but I love the gorgeous soft pink it leaves you with. Once all my coats were on and had dried, I simply dotted a small amount of the top coat on the nail, where I wanted the gold bow to be and used the dotting tool to pick the bow up and place it on. Once that had dried I applied a good layer of the Essie super duper top coat to seal it in place.
I don't like to use glue to apply these pretty little bows, as I find you are always left with the glue mark under the top coat, doing it this way means you don't get that.

I then wanted to add some of this 'gold leaf' style material and thought I would do so on my index finger to change things up a little!
It was easy to use, I simply placed a coat of topcoat onto my natural nail, lead the gold leaf on top and gently patted it onto the nail, running the dotting tool around the edge. I then applied another coat of top coat to seal it in place!

It was as easy as that! It was a little time consuming waiting for the polish to dry, but I love the look it left me with..Super pretty and extremely girly!

What do you think?
