REVIEW: ESTÉE LAUDER CC CREAM

REVITALISING SUPREME GLOBAL ANTI-AGING CREAM SPF 10 CC

I was lucky enough to be invited to an Estée Lauder event recently where we got to see some of the products coming your way soon, just a heads up.. they are gorgeous and I want them all!

But I wanted to tell you about their latest product which is the CC Cream.

What is CC Cream I hear you ask... put simply it stands for Complexion or Colour Correction Cream..

It combines skincare and make up that helps to even out your skin tone. I'm not going to go into it all too much as this will become more of a science lesson rather than a review, but I do want to give you a little information, so here goes...

It helps to correct the complexion of your skin by containing hyalouronic acid, antioxidants and micro capsules that release pigments as soon as they touch your skin, these automatically adjust to your skin tone. It also has anti aging cream and eye care supplements.

You can wear it alone or under your foundation, I prefer to wear it alone as my skin is pretty clear. It can also be used with all skin types.

I used it in the above picture when trying out a new eyeshadow. I have airbrushed over the skin as this picture was intended for a different post and I wanted the eyes to be the main feature, however, it hasn't adjusted the true look of the picture (just that you can't see the pores on my skin!)

I honestly haven't worn anything else but this on my skin since the first time I tried it. I will admit, I went in blind, meaning I just read the packaging and applied it. Because it is a white-ish cream I just thought it would go on clear but got a little shock when it started changing colour once it came in contact with my skin.

I was instantly in love, it's perfect for me at the moment as I don't want a huge amount of coverage after not wearing any make up in the last few weeks of my pregnancy.

It evened out my skin tone and left me looking glowing, I mean this in the sense my skin looked very healthy which made me very happy!

I just dot it on my skin and work it in using a stippling brush.

I have added a more natural looking picture using only day light ( I didn't have on when I wrote the post!)

Please bare in mind this is the beginning of my make up routine, this is why I look like I have no colour at all! But this picture shows  the way the CC Cream really works, you can still see my freckles etc and I really like that!

Have you tried a CC Cream yet? I would love to know your thoughts.

This product is available from the end of January 2014.

  1. I have yet to try my first CC cream, but this one sounds really nice! I'd love to give it a try myself.

  2. I have not tried CC cream even though it is already in the trend. I like the fact that the CC cream has SPF and gives the right coverage for the skin. It will also be great if the Estee Lauder has the CC cream for tanned and combination skin.
