When these little beauties arrived at my door I couldn't wait to try them, well more so Bejeweled and Embellished. The first shots I took with Bejeweled on my lips didn't turn out great as the light was awful, I therefore had to take them later on, once I had realised what had happened. This means that in the picture below it looks more 'pink' than it is.
It is a very sheer pinky nude. I was actually expecting it to be much stronger in colour than it is. As it's a lipgloss, you can't layer it much either as it becomes too thick. Having said that, it's a very nice gloss. I imagine it would be the perfect accompaniment to a nude lipstick to help add great shine.
Next is Adorned, this is the one that I was least looking forward to trying as I'm not generally a bright pink gloss girl, but surprisingly this is the one that impressed me the most! Isn't that always the way! It's super pigmented and lasts a long time on the lips, you can wear it on it's own due to the bright colour too which is great if you are out and about. This is the one that left the most colour on my lips, but it's ok, it's pretty!
Then comes Embellished, I was sure this was going to be much darker and have high pigmentation like Adorned, but that wasn't the case. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not! Like all the others it's super glossy and lasted a long time on my lips, but I was left feeling a little let down by the colour. Having said that, I believe this is the shade Revlon were going for, in the press release I was sent they did describe this as a violet and I did wonder why, I even commented in the post I wrote about the gloss, saying it looked more like a dark plum to me, but once you apply it on the lips its much more sheer than it appears in the packaging. Either way, still a very pretty colour and probably would be more popular than a deep plum gloss, I guess it would appear to a larger audience as it isn't so dark and 'out there'.
I really liked them, but was very surprised to find that Adorned turned out to be my favourite! Which one do you like the most?
